What Is Jurat(JTC)?
JTC is the native coin of the JTC Blockchain (also called the JTC Network). JTC is a branch of Bitcoin focused on consumer protection. The JTC coin and other digital assets on the JTC Blockchain offer the unique ability to seek legal recourse under the authority of official courts. So, users have a way to claim their rights in court in case of hacks, frauds, mistakes, lost private keys, and other legal disputes.
What Is the Tokenomics Model of JTC?
JTC Network is a fork of the Bitcoin Network and it follows the same tokenomics and release schedule. The fork occurred at Bitcoin block heigh 717808 (January 8, 2022). All BTC addresses with non-zero balances as of that block are mirrored on JTC Network and contain $JTC 1:1 with their $BTC holdings at that time.
Since the fork, new JTC coins have been issued in the same manner as BTC, i.e., only as a mining award. JTC also follows the same issuance rate as BTC, which was 6.25 coins per block as of the fork, and which will follow the same halving algorithm as BTC (i.e. cutting in half every 210,000 blocks). There is no inflation or other form of issuance. The mining award process will continue until the total 21 million JTC have been mined. This is a hard cap on the number of JTC which will ever be in existence. There was no pre-mine or other token generation event for JTC.
