Venga Introduces Euro IBAN Accounts to Streamline Fiat-to-Crypto Transfers in the EU
Key takeaways:
- Venga users can now deposit and withdraw Euros via SEPA using personalized IBANs linked to their accounts
- The feature supports faster, disruption-free fiat-to-crypto transfers across the EU, Liechtenstein, and Norway
- Venga is offering zero-fee Euro transactions through its app for the rest of Spring 2025
A seamless gateway between traditional banking and crypto
Crypto app Venga has rolled out named Euro IBAN accounts for users across the European Union, enabling a more efficient bridge between fiat and digital currencies. The newly launched feature lets users instantly fund their Venga accounts or cash out via SEPA bank transfers—removing much of the friction that often hampers crypto on- and off-ramping.
The dedicated IBAN accounts provide faster processing times and reduce the risk of interrupted bank transfers, giving users direct access to their funds at all times. This allows both newcomers and experienced crypto users to respond more quickly to market movements, a key advantage in an industry where timing can be critical.
By supporting seamless transitions between Euros and crypto assets, Venga is aiming to address a common pain point for crypto investors in Europe. According to the company, the new service offers enhanced convenience and security, with Euro balances held directly in the app and ready for immediate use in digital asset purchases.
"Our mission with this service is to give crypto communities an easy way in and out of the Web3 space. Whether you're a new investor trying to buy or sell a specific coin or a DeFi maxi who lives entirely on decentralized wallets and protocols, everyone eventually needs to cash out by converting digital assets into Euros or vice versa. We're here to ensure that on and off-ramping is efficient and user-friendly for everyone."
—Michael Stroev, CEO of Venga
Fee-free transfers and regional access
As part of the product rollout, Venga is offering fee-free Euro deposits and withdrawals via its mobile platform until the end of Spring 2025. The company’s Euro accounts are available to users in the EU—excluding Croatia and Bulgaria—as well as in Liechtenstein and Norway.
Venga has secured Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) licenses in both Spain and Poland and is currently seeking authorization under the EU’s forthcoming Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation. These licenses enable the company to maintain regulatory compliance while expanding its range of crypto-to-fiat services.
The bottom line
With regulatory clarity and user demand for fiat accessibility increasing in Europe, Venga’s launch of dedicated Euro IBAN accounts positions it to meet the needs of a growing crypto user base. By reducing transaction friction and offering instant access to both digital and traditional currencies, Venga is building out a platform aimed at simplifying digital finance for everyday users.
