Bitfinex to Support the Merger of FET, AGIX, and OCEAN to ASI

We are pleased to announce that Bitfinex will support the merger of Fetch.ai (FET), SingularityNET (AGIX), and Ocean Protocol (OCEAN), which together will form the Artificial Superintelligence Alliance (ASI). 

FET and OCEAN are both currently listed on Bitfinex, but AGIX is not.

This merger is scheduled to occur in two phases:

1. Temporary Conversion to FET: In the first phase, OCEAN tokens will be converted to FET at a ratio of 1:0.433226. Trading, deposits, and withdrawals for OCEAN will cease. FET trading, deposits, and withdrawals will remain unaffected. The project name and logo for FET will be updated to Artificial Superintelligence Alliance, but trading will continue under the FET ticker and API symbol.
   
   
2. Conversion to ASI: In the second phase, FET will be converted to the new ASI token at a 1:1 ratio. Details about this second phase will be announced separately.

Deposits and withdrawals of OCEAN tokens on Bitfinex will cease on 02/07/2024 at 8:00 AM UTC. Trading of OCEAN will cease on 02/07/2024 at 10:00 AM UTC. We would like to remind our customers to cancel any open orders for OCEAN before then. All remaining open orders will be cancelled by the system. Bitfinex will convert OCEAN tokens to FET tokens automatically. No action is required by Bitfinex customers.

If you prefer not to have your OCEAN tokens converted to FET, please withdraw them from your account before the above deadline.

OCEAN will no longer be eligible for deposit after 02/07/2024 at 8:00 AM UTC. Please do not try to deposit tokens after this date to avoid losing them.

Bitfinex will announce separately when and if trading, deposits and withdrawals for the new ASI token will be available (Phase 2). We will also announce if and when we will facilitate the conversion of FET tokens to ASI tokens during this phase.
