Bitfinex to Delist MATIC Perpetual Swap

Bitfinex will delist the MATIC/USDt (tMATICF0:USTF0) perpetual swap on Wednesday, 04/09/2024, at 9:30 AM UTC.

The removal of this perpetual is linked to the expected migration of Polygon (MATIC) to Polygon Ecosystem Token (POL) which might have an impact on the underlying liquidity of the MATIC PERP, and follows our regular monitoring of market conditions to ensure the best trading experience for our customers. From 10:00 AM UTC on Tuesday 03/09/2024, customers will only be able to reduce their open positions in tMATICF0:USTF0.

We would like to remind our customers to cancel any open orders on tMATICF0:USTF0 perpetual before 9:30 AM UTC on 04/09/2024. Any open positions that are not closed by this deadline will be force-settled by the system. The mark price used to settle contracts will be the fair market value of the underlying spot market based on data from several leading exchanges.

The spot and margin market for MATIC pairs will remain available for trading on Bitfinex.
