Key Timeline for UTA Upgrade

1. Inactive Standard Account Users

Oct 8. 2024:

• Automatic upgrade for existing inactive Standard Accounts (no assets, pending orders, or active positions in Spot and Derivatives Accounts).

• During the upgrade, there will be a short downtime, approximately two (2) minutes, for Spot and Derivatives Accounts between 2AM to 4AM UTC daily.

2. Standard Accounts and UTAs (Older Versions)

Nov 1, 2024:

• Automatic upgrade for Standard Accounts and older UTAs with no pending orders.

• The upgrade follows the same process as a user-initiated upgrade, and will ensure security and maintain positions below the liquidation threshold immediately after the upgrade.

• During the upgrade, there will be a short downtime, approximately two (2) minutes, for Spot and Derivatives Accounts between 2AM to 4AM UTC daily.

3. Changes to Standard Account APIs

Aug 31, 2024:

• Derivatives V3 and Spot V3 APIs for Standard Accounts will be phased out. Users will no longer be able to place orders or retrieve market data via API V3. Nov 1, 2024:

• Reduced frequency for API V5 endpoints. The default frequency will be adjusted to 10 requests per second, and subsequent API upgrades will no longer be available. The frequency for UTA API endpoints will not be affected.

• Standard Account users will not be able to create API keys. API keys will only be available again upon upgrade to UTAs.

4. Standard Account Trading Restrictions

Dec 1, 2024:

• Perpetuals and Futures trading using Standard Accounts will switch to Reduce-Only. New orders to increase positions will not be accepted. Users are only allowed to close their positions.

Dec 16, 2024:

• Spot trading using Standard Accounts will be suspended. New orders will not be accepted.

• Pending Spot and Derivatives orders in Standard Accounts and Inverse Derivatives orders in older UTAs will be canceled.

• Automatic upgrade for older UTAs and Standard Accounts.

5. New Contract Listings

• All new contract listings will only be available to users who have upgraded to the latest version of UTA. Standard Accounts will no longer support new contracts listed. We will release another announcement with more details.
