Gate Charity Joins Kuala Inspirasi to Support Youth Education and Social Development in Indonesia

Gate Charity is excited to announce a new partnership with Kuala Inspirasi (Kuala Inspiration), an Indonesian organization that develops and hosts social and educational programs for disadvantaged youth around the administrative center of Kuala Tungkal, Jambi, Indonesia.

Through this partnership, Gate Charity provided funding and support for phase 3 of Kuala Inspirasi’s most recent philanthropic initiative, Ekspedisi Bestari (The Bestari Expedition). Held on January 13-14, 2024, the initiative successfully provided support for 85 young students and their community in the village of Pasar Senin.

A discussion and brainstorming session focused on the students’ potential future professions. This encouraged them to develop self-confidence, motivated them to chase their dreams, and enabled them to envision a successful future to strive toward. The students also participated in simple but informative and engaging science experiments, seeding their curiosity while helping them develop a lasting interest in an important subject.

The Learn While Playing session included fun activities that require teamwork and problem-solving, boosting the students’ cognitive abilities, visual perception, and concentration while demonstrating the concept of teamwork. This activity was complemented by a performative arts activity, which gave the students a greater appreciation for arts and culture and the courage to express themselves freely among their peers.

Lastly, the students participated in character-building, strengthening their integrity, morality, and positive social skills through informative lessons. The lessons centred around essential topics such as bullying and sex education.

In addition to the educational aspects of the initiative, The Bestari Expedition 3 also provided social support for the local community. This included teaching the community skills to create products and boost the local economy. Further, discussions on youth in the area were held, where community members could share their experiences and input to understand better and form connections with youth in their community.

The Bestari Expedition initiative provided educational and social development support for 85 young students in Pasar Senin, Indonesia. The initiative equipped the students with invaluable skills and knowledge while also providing social support for the local community. With the success of this initiative, Gate Charity will continue to support education and social development opportunities for underserved youth through its partnership with Kuala Inspirasi in Indonesia and with other organizations in various regions worldwide.
