Crypto-focused investment firm a16z led a Series A investment in the game studio Voldex, with participation from continued investments like Dune Ventures, Makers Fund, POW Interactive, and new investment from Mitch Garber's Lalotte Ventures. The amount wasn't disclosed. Andrew Chen, general partner at a16z, has joined the board. The funding will allow Voldex to continue to build out our team. In addition, the funding will support the existing games and allow Voldex to acquire impressive UGC games from today's best and brightest game creators, helping to unlock each one's potential by developing awesome new features and updates that are organic to the IP.
