Widely regarded as one of the greatest players and scorers of all time, Kevin Wayne Durant was born on September 29, 1988. After playing one season of college basketball for the Texas Longhorns, Durant was selected as the second overall pick in the 2007 NBA draft by the Seattle SuperSonics. During his nine seasons with the franchise, which later became the Oklahoma City Thunder, Durant established himself as one of the premier players in the NBA. In 2016 he signed with the Golden State Warriors, winning consecutive NBA championships in 2017 and 2018. Following an Achilles injury in the 2019 finals, Durant joined the Brooklyn Nets as a free agent that summer.
