What Is Optimism(OP)?

Optimism(OP) is an ERC20 token that governs upgrades to the protocol and network parameters, and creates an ongoing system of incentives for projects and users in the Optimism ecosystem.

Optimism is a low-cost and lightning-fast Ethereum L2 blockchain. Optimistic Ethereum (OE) is simply an app inside Ethereum that executes transactions more efficiently than Ethereum itself. It's based on the concept of the [Optimistic Rollup], a construction that allows us to "optimistically" publish transaction results without actually executing those transactions on Ethereum (most of the time). OE makes transactions cheaper, faster, and smarter.

How to Claim $OP Airdrop?

Step 1: Open https://app.optimism.io/airdrop and click "Connect Wallet"

Step 2: Check if you are eligible for the Optimism Airdrop.

Eligible users are:

• Optimism Users: Used an OP bridge prior to June 23, 2021, or used Optimism projects more than once between June 23, 2021 and March 25, 2022. Welcome fam!
• Repeat Optimism Users: Came back to use apps on OP in four different weeks between June 23, 2021 and March 25, 2022
• DAO Voters: Active participant in governance on L1. A sign of participation and stewardship. Thanks for being involved.
• Multi-Sig Signers: Control over large pools of capital and key protocol functions. With great power comes great responsibility!
• Gitcoin Donors: A true believer! You funded public goods on L1. Grants contributions are a good sign of positive-sum thinking.
• Users Priced Out of Ethereum: Used bridges while being a regularly active user on L1. An explorer’s mindset with an interest in lower fees.

Step 3: Add Optimism to your Metamask wallet using CoinCarp Chainlist or your preferred method and connect to the network.

Step 4: You'll need to answer three questions, accept the Working Constitution and delegate your tokens before claiming your airdrop.
