GMX Token Sale
GMX is a blockchain-based project that operates as a decentralized spot and perpetual exchange. It allows traders to trade their cryptocurrencies directly from their wallets. Some of the platform’s advantages over competitors include low swap fees and the ability to conduct trades with zero price impact.
The GMX token is used for paying network fees and for staking.
What are GMX’s key features and how does it work?
GMX’s core product is its trading facilities. It allows users to conduct spot trading and perpetual contract trading. Users can leverage up to 30x on their trades thanks to its ability to leverage liquidity. GMX operates as an automated market maker (AMM). In more detail, this means that it is comprised of several liquidity pools, and trading on the GMX network is facilitated by these multi-asset pools. Users can provide liquidity to such pools and receive rewards in return. Liquidity provider rewards are sourced from market making, swap fees, and leverage trading.
The protocol is able to provide dynamic pricing thanks to Chainlink Oracles, and aggregation of price data from exchanges with high volumes. GMX tokens can be bridged between the Ethereum and Arbitrum networks. However, there is a 7-day waiting period when tokens will be not accessible during the bridging process.
What is noteworthy about GMX?
The GMX project encourages community engagement with the protocol, this includes facilitating the development of community-developed projects. Some examples of successful projects include:
- GMX Leaderboard - A Leaderboard specifically built for GMX traders
- GMX Blueberry Club - NFT project creating GMX Blueberry NFTs
- GMX Yield Simulator - Simulator for calculating potential yield.
What can GMX be used for?
GMX can be staked in return for rewards. There are several different types of fees that can be received; escrowed GMX, multiplier points, and ETH/AVAX Rewards. 30% of the fees collected from swaps and leverage trading conducted on the platform are converted to either ETH or AVAX and distributed to GMX stakers.
Where can you buy GMX?
